STORY

We became obsessed with children's books after our daughter was born.

Reading bedtime story was something that we started very early on and there's not been a single evening without it ever since.

We moved to the US from Hungary, Europe years before she was born so it was obvious that she will be bilingual.

Besides her picture books in English there was just as much if not more Hungarian books on the shelves.

When she turned 2 years old, we started to talk about the similarities and differences between the books of American and Hungarian authors. It was not like one was better or worse, it was just different.

The more we talked about it the more I started to envision that I'd like to introduce these children's books to American families.

One night after putting down my daughter to sleep I came up with the idea to translate and publish Hungarian children's books in English, here in the US.

My husband asked me to do some research on the world of publishing and then we agreed to give it a try.

This is how Bobita Publishing was born and we couldn't be more excited that we started this journey.
